Worship in person or online Sundays at 9:45am. Due to increasing Covid numbers, we are masking in worship.

This fall as we explore courageous characters on Sundays, we have assigned daily scripture readings for the congregation to follow. Reading these scriptures every day isn’t an academic exercise but a spiritual one. For parents, we recommend using the Faith Five, which is listed below, and is designed to be plugged into other parts of your daily routine. You could do this at dinner, bedtime, or even in the car line at school.

Some of you will be reading scriptures in your individual prayer time. You could take the Faith Five and try writing it in a journal. Or you could ask a friend to do it with you over the phone or by Zoom.

Another option is to read these scriptures as a part of your prayer time. Maybe you already have a daily routine, or maybe you would like some ideas. We have “praying with scripture” bookmarks for those of you who would like some ideas about how to structure your prayer time.

We are so excited to see how God will show up by our reading these texts together. We have chosen five scriptures per week, plus the Sunday preaching text, and we did not assign a reading for Saturday.

We invite you to read these texts daily and drink deeply from the spirit of the living God.
