Below you will find the revised 2021 schedule for camp Wakon’ Da-Ho followed by some protocols that will be in place to provide the safest possible environment for our campers and staff. Please keep in mind that CDC and the Commonwealth of Kentucky pandemic guidelines are updated often and we take them very seriously. Of course, no one can predict the future and in-person camping may not be possible this summer, but we are making every effort to safely host outdoor ministries in 2021.

Because of our limited capacity due to social distancing, campers will only be permitted to attend one camp this summer, with the exception of Eighters’ Camp. Eighters’ will be offered to rising Freshmen and Sophomores this summer since we could not meet last year. We will not offer a Plan B or virtual option this summer. However, it is possible that healthcare recommendations may encourage us to shorten some of our camps. Please watch for frequent updates.
Mini Camp and Eighters’ Camp will proceed as previously scheduled.
CYF, Chi Rho and Jr. Camps will be shortened by 1 day to allow for a more thorough cleaning.
Overnight Camps will be limited to no more than 60 campers, 6 per cabin.
Camps 101 will be a Saturday day camp with no overnight.
Adults that wish to serve as directors or counselors must receive a COVID vaccine if they have been so authorized. No adults who have refused to receive a COVID vaccine will be allowed to serve on the camp staff.
All campers and counselors must provide documentation of receiving a COVID vaccine or a negative COVID test performed within 3 days of the first day of their camp.
Masks will be required by everyone at all times except during meals, showering, brushing teeth, ingesting medicine, and when sleeping.
Social distancing will be observed at all times. Campers will stay with their cabin unit for meals and small group activities. During plenary activities campers will sit with their cabin.
All campers and counselors must bring their own water bottle/s. There will be several designated times for no touch filling of bottles each day.
During free/recreation times designated sanitation protocols will be strictly enforced and regulated for safety.
If campers show COVID symptoms they will be quarantined until a parent, guardian, or other pre-designated adult can remove them from camp. The camper must be tested as soon as possible and Dave Carr must be notified of the results.
