Churches United in Christ Help Ministry
Churches Uniting in Christ Help Ministry brings the downtown churches together to assist persons in our community in danger of having their utilities disconnected for lack of payment.
Volunteers from each congregation that makes up Churches United in Christ meet at different times during the month to interview persons in need of assistance and to help them pay their utility bills (gas bill, electric bill, water bill).
This ministry is supported in part by donations from our church budget and designated gifts from members and friends. Kyle McDougall represents our church on the CUIC Help Ministry board.
If you would like to volunteer, please contact us below!
Anyone in need is eligible to receive assistance from Churches United in Christ Help Ministry once a year. Help Ministry offers assistance with past due utility bills whether or not service is disconnected. Help Ministry does not assist with utility deposits.
HOW TO RECEIVE ASSISTANCE:
Bring your bill, your identification and your social security card to the church offering assistance. Plan to arrive when it starts or a few minutes early, as it is first come first served until funds run out.
FCC’s Help Ministry date is usually the fourth Tuesday of the month at 1pm. This can change due to holidays. Call 211 for the latest schedule if not posted below.
