Churches United in Christ Help Ministry

Churches Uniting in Christ Help Ministry brings the downtown churches together to assist persons in our community in danger of having their utilities disconnected for lack of payment. 

PLEASE NOTE: As of December 2022, FCC will no longer host Help Ministry. Call the United Way hotline at 211 for a schedule or information on other assistance programs.

About CUIC

Volunteers from each congregation that makes up Churches United in Christ meet at different times during the month to interview persons in need of assistance and to help them pay their utility bills (gas bill, electric bill, water bill).

ELIGIBILTY:

Anyone in need is eligible to receive assistance from Churches United in Christ Help Ministry once a year. Help Ministry offers assistance with past due utility bills whether or not service is disconnected. Help Ministry does not assist with utility deposits.

HOW TO RECEIVE ASSISTANCE:

Bring your bill, your identification and your social security card to the church offering assistance. Plan to arrive when it starts or a few minutes early, as it is first come first served until funds run out.
