Rev. Megan Huston, Senior Minister
Megan has been at FCCBG since 2013 following 4 years as senior minister in Paris, TN after receiving her Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt. Mom to twins, wife of a banjo playing stay-at-home dad and farmer (Willie). Megan and her family live on 13 beautiful acres in Rockfield, KY and hope to leave their land better than they found it. Megan sees her call to ministry rooted in community organizing, caring for people and preaching.
Rev. Linnea Blakemore, Associate Minister
Linnea began at FCCBG in 2026, her first call after receiving a Master of Divinity from Brite Divinity School. Raised a preacher's kid, church folk have been a constant presence in her life which informs her passion for intergenerational community building in churches. She and her fiance (Tristan) love hiking, bouldering, and spending time outdoors.
Dr. Matthew McCurry, Organist
Matthew has been fascinated with the organ for as long as he can remember. He has served as a church musician for more than 30 years. Dr. McCurry currently serves as the Associate Director of Bands and Director of Athletic Bands at Western Kentucky University where his responsibilities include teaching courses in music education as well as conducting the Spring Symphonic Band and overseeing the athletic band program, including the Big Red Marching Band - The Pride of the Hilltoppers and the Spirit Pep Bands.
Dr. Paul Hondorp, Director of Music
Paul has been the Director of Music at FCC since 2004. As part of his duties he leads the 40+ voice Chancel Choir, and enjoys lots of laughter and music-making at every Wednesday night rehearsal. At his day job, he serves as Director of Choral Activities at Western Kentucky University, where he directs & administrates an active choral program, and leads a Master of Music program in Choral Conducting. He has been involved in church music for more than 30 years, from coast to coast, and has happily become a member of the Disciples of Christ.
Eugene Greer, Afternoon Custodian
Eugene began at FCC in 2006. Eugene also works at the Medical Center where he has been employed for more than 20 years. When he is not keeping the church squeaky clean, Eugene enjoys weightlifting.
Crystal Akers, Director of Operations
Crystal came to FCC as a member in 2013 and joined staff in 2017, following several years working as copy editor and graphic designer for multiple newspapers. In her spare time, she enjoys concerts, going on adventures with her two kids or introverting at home. Crystal is also the director of SOKY Alliance, an LGBTQ+ nonprofit.
Susanna Martin, Morning Custodian
Suzy Martin started at FCC in 2026, having worked as a custodian in both the city and county schools and is great at keeping the church beautiful. She enjoys gardening, playing with her dogs, and going out to eat.
