Pride Worship Service

June 8 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

We’re going to recognize Pride Month with a worship service of affirmation and celebration! The second annual Pride Worship Service will be at 6pm Saturday, June 8, with special guest preacher the Rev. Wesley King and music led by Hardin Butts. Whether or not you a person of faith, all are welcome in this space.

Rev. Wesley King (he/him) is an ordained Disciples of Christ minister currently serving the denomination. He works as Associate Executive Minister of New Church Ministry, the arm of our tradition that is devoted to teaching, equipping, assisting, and multiplying the 200+ churches in formation around the North American continent. He is a proud graduate of Lexington Theological Seminary and The University of Alabama. In addition to ministry, he is the Artistic Director of Nashville in Harmony, an LGBTQ+ musical arts organization of around 200 people across three ensembles. He is also involved in politics and activism where he is Chair of the Faith Caucus of the Tennessee Democratic Party and the elected District 5 Committeeman for the Davidson County Democratic Party. He lives in East Nashville with his husband Tyler and their retired racing greyhound, Fuel.
